Institute Focus Areas
The ethical enterprise whether it be a large or small organization, a public or private corporation, a commercial or service enterprise, an established or entrepreneurial venture must continually deal with three critical areas of high performance ethical management:
Ethics & Compliance
The Carl M. Williams Business Ethics Network brings together leaders from business and professional organizations, along with professors from major universities and other thought leaders in ethics and compliance to generate and share knowledge, experience, research and educational resources on ethical business practices.
Leadership & Governance
The Institute's focus on Enterprise Governance and Leadership is designed to help senior executives, officers, independent directors and counselors and advisors to both commercial and service organizations to guide their enterprises to stay on the forefront of enterprise ethics.
Social Responsibility & Sustainability
Enterprise social responsibility represents one way an enterprise can align organizational self-interest with the greater public good. Recently the business case for sustainability has continued to grow and enterprise leaders have begun to see the connection between sustaining the planet and sustaining the enterprise.
The Institute for Enterprise Ethics helps the ethical organization stay on the forefront of these issues by providing access to the latest thinking and best practices for effectively and efficiently executing the strategies and tactics of the ethical organization. The Institute delivers this thought leadership through a variety of vehicles and programs including:
- Frequent peer-to-peer roundtable discussions
- On-going electronic discussions
- Custom executive and organizational development programs
- Special events featuring presentations by outstanding leaders of recognized ethical enterprises
